Spacemonkey, did you finalize your proof yet? You had the Greek design, right? I saw your proof online by typing in random order numbers but did not know if it was complete yet. |

J5 | So what kind of chips will they be selling from now on? |

Actually, I don't know, but Dan screwed over a lot of people (I think he just got in way over his head), and apparently all of his orders went over to homepokerchips.com. I guess Chipco cut him off because of the flood of complaints.
His service really was the worst i've ever seen, so even if he does start selling other chips, I suggest you steer clear of 'thechipstore.com'.

And that was only through persistant calls to Natalie. Or course the day after I finalized the art, I found a small inconsistancy, but they were already sent to print. I can live with it. I wonder if anyone can notice it! I have a slim hope still of seeing them before Memorial Day.
You'd think this order would keep me from wanting other chips.
Anyways, don't feel bad about changing colors so often. I did the same thing, and Jane told me it's an easy change on their end, and they know it's an important decision as they chips should last a lifetime.
I like you color choices. It's funny you looked at other proofs too. I scrolled through about 3,000 pages, and saw about 350 proofs. I keep telling myself I don't have a problem...
Glad you enjoyed Boston too. |

The error I'm talking about here is on the layout (i.e. by the graphic designer who was surprised and annoyed by my attention to detail!). Thanks! I'm really looking forward to seeing them this summer. |

It's good to know I'm not the only curious one out there. I spent an hour or so checking out some examples of the artwork at PC.com. All in all, I was not very impressed. I saw a lot of similar themes. They should sub contract Lynbark or Jason to do their work. They might get caught up and the customer will get a better product. |

I wonder if most customers don't really care, or do care but still can't come up with the design themselves. I admit to being disappointed with the designer at pokerchips.com. I'd really call them layout specialists. They don't seem to have access or the desire to really good graphics.
Outsourcing is a good idea. Imagine the awesome chips they could make if Johnny5 or Lynbark or Jason did some part time design work for them. I guess they're so busy this doesn't really matter to them. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
