I still might hold off to see the Pharohs and the holdempokerchips.com clay set they are going to reveal soon. Depending on price I may do that.
The Mardi Gras are gonna be very cool, but are gonna cost you $1.25 a peice I bet. And after the group by of the Pharaoh's, they will also be $1.25 retail (or more!).
I don't think people are realizing the great deal that the Pharaoh's Clubs are. It'll become apparent once the group is done.
(I know a LOT of us realize the value, almost 50,000 chips worth at least. )
Its not that I dont realize the great value, its that for 1000 chips they still cost to much money for me. If they were non-denom I would be all over it because 500 would do, I could use them for both. Either way, Im probably still going to buy a set of the Paulsons, why? BECAUSE THEY ARE FREAKIN PAULSONS!!!! And less then $1.00 a chip for a custom set. I filled out my pre-order form before the non-denom thing and may still buy.
Well for my Pharoahs tournament set I like this breakdown:

250-Red = T1250 :--------: T1250
200-Green = T5000:-------: T3750 -> T1250 left over for coloring up reds
100-Black = T10000:------: T5000 -> T5000 left over for coloring up
that's the best breakdown post i've ever seen. very nicely played.
Thanks, I edited out an error in my calculation of the Chip values in the original post though. I gave the numbers for a 200 red 200 green 100 black set on accident.
