ASM delivery time (HOW LONG?)
Hi CT-ers,
Ordered my 1000 piece Roman Mold cash game set at ASM. Payment all the riff raff well handled. Now the waiting has begone. We're almost 2 months further and still no delivery date in sight.
My recent mail to Sallie:
Hi Sallie
Last message I got was March 26. We're almost 2 weeks further. Although you explained the process, I suppose ASM has some sort of maximum delivery time.
I don't want to rush things, but those 30 days Jim mentioned are now crossed and I don't know where I stand. Hopefully you understand my concern.
Besides "the other Roman orders", what is the maximum time I need to wait from now on?
So while I'm still waiting on a reply I thought to ask you guys for some experience on delivery dates.
Any? Thanks already.
Cheers, Dieter

Re: ASM delivery time (HOW LONG?)
It really depends on how large the run is - usually they combine orders since setting up the molds isn't done for just one order unless it was HUGE. 1000 chips really isn't a lot, so chances are you're stuck waiting for additional orders to finalize so they can run them all at one time.
So, it depends on your order, what mold(s) they're running, how many other orders they have and how many other colors. I remember waiting a couple of months for my FDL blanks, but they didn't have edge spots or inlays. That can make it take longer (6 weeks?). However, when I added on later it was a quick turn-around because they happen to have the material in the colors I wanted and the mold was already installed.
If they give you a guess chances are it will be 2 weeks past that. I know it sucks, but you'll be happy in the end.

Call back in two weeks....
In all seriousness it can take a LONG time...6-8 weeks or so is standard, but can definatly go longer.

Re: ASM delivery time (HOW LONG?)
yeah, plus you're overseas which will probably only add to the time it takes to get your chips.

just expect that whatever you're told, double it. Things always seem to happen that are unexpected.

been waiting almost 3 months because of that damn elephant and crown. promised different dates multiple times, finally they'll get shipped next week. just in time to miss 4 major poker events and sit in my office for 8 months waiting for my next tourney season to start up again. if I'd know I would have passed. good move on jim's part or he wouldn't have my cash.

Re: ASM delivery time (HOW LONG?)
Whoa, Thanks guys ... I guess. Seems my expectations of a long wait are comming true. Well The least I want to happen is rushing the order and catch some flaws. Hopefully the result will be perfect!
I spent quite a buck on those chips and that's why it keeps me wondering...
When?
Cheers, Dieter

And after I made a request they told me, that EVERYTHING has been used in the same way they did in 2007: same machine, same material, same printer, same printing/pressing process and they didn't know why this happened... !? Well, that's very funny to me: I mean, the difference is easily noticeable while watching the chips, and ASM is not able to explain, why all the new chips has such bad bad inlays!!!?? Come on!!! I can't believe it. Even that I get a very fair discount on that issue, I am very dissapointed about it.
Due to the wating time: I was told that my order will probably be deliverd within 6 weeks - in real it took something up to 14 weeks or so (including 2 to 3 weeks for shipping).

Re: ASM delivery time (HOW LONG?)
My BCC order took 6 months.
I would expect the same from ASM. I think the only issue with the wait would be the honesty of the upfront waiting time when ordering. ZFor my BCC I knew that I would be waiting a long time so it didnt worry me
