Chip set idea....need feedback

Something I've been working on, but had set aside for awhile. I'm thinking about picking these back up and finishing this project. One chip for each Chinese Zodiac sign. What are people's thoughts and critiques of this idea? I am thinking about making some changes to the border and other elements. Basically the center designs will stay like they are.

These are live mockups on scrap blanks. I just need to get a sense if these are
on target, or if I need to abandon these, or whatever the case may be.

Re: Chip set idea....need feedback

If my numbers are right I still have 5 symbols left to make. No rabbit yet, but I do want to have one chip for each symbol.

Is the radiant fade on the ox different from the rest? It looks like the color fade in (or color increase out from center) is different, like it takes palce closer to center than on the others...

Cool idea! I think it's looking pretty good. The only thing I'd mention is my preference for the gradient treatment on the 1, 5, and 25, as opposed to how the gradient begins just inside the border on the others. Also, I might have made the dragon the red chip, but that's just me.

Re: Chip set idea....need feedback

Great idea. I really like the design around the edge. Works very nicely with the theme.

Since you're having them all made in the same year, I'd be tempted to drop the "year of the" text and just stick with having the animal/zodiac picture, Chinese character, and denomination.

Maybe go with 6 zodiacs for cash denominations (25˘, $1, $2 or $2.50, $5, $8, $20), and 6 for tournament (25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000 or 25000).
