The Non-Denom...

I've been thinking of having a non-denom chip in my new custom set but I don't want to have a big blank spot .

So, I'm fishing for ideas on what to put to fill the space

i.e.

NCV
$
*
etc...

Re: The Non-Denom...

If I get one I'm just going to leave the space where the denom goes, blank.

Re: The Non-Denom...

I went with XXX on mine and the mock up looked cool. Real things is on they way, so I'll update with a pic when they arrive.

Re: The Non-Denom...

definitely not ncv....if you're playing in a tourney, it's (usually) implied. if you're playing in a cash game, it's not true.

i say a symbol or something that goes with the theme of your set...maybe a spade or the four suits arranged in a 2x2 square.

Re: The Non-Denom...

Agree 100%. For my custom sets I used a dog paw for The DAWg House, a bear paw for The Bear Den and 'For Trade Only' for the Club 517 set. Kari Malsom found some old illegals that had that on them and we thought it was cool. Here's one of them, it's used for both cash games and tourneys.

Re: The Non-Denom...

Lets see your mockup of the NCV chip, but for the love of all things holy, do not put "NCV" on it!

Re: The Non-Denom...

As a guy who just got a set with an NCV chip, I have to agree with the consensus. Do NOT put NCV on the chip. Just the basic design used on your chip is sufficient. As a matter of fact, just having the basic design without any denomination on it can give you a little extra appreciation for how cool your chip's design really is.

Re: The Non-Denom...

Here is a mock-up
Note on the Peach & Blue chips this is alternate layout for the back side, the BoyNumber text is a place holder for my childrens names
I'm hoping to have 25% or so of the backs done with these 'special' labels

but all of the chips will have one standard side labeled with the denom
purple is the proposed Non-denom

There is no theme I just want to get a tournament set that had my name on it.

Thanks for all the great feedback, keep it coming.

Re: The Non-Denom...

The inlay looks kind of empty and out of place with nothing. How about just a 'K' since there is nto a theme other than your name?

that might work centered between a little scroll (tilde type art)

Thanks
