I'm going to be getting a 300 pc. set here soon, but I need help on selecting the quantity of each denom for the set. How many of each denom should I get to total 300 chips? Here are the denoms:

$1
$5
$25
$100

It really is going to depend on what your starting stack will be. You also probably don't want to have more then 4-5 denoms.

For a T10k tourney I would suggest

25 X 80
100 x 80
500 x 60
1000 x 60
5000 x 20

With starting stacks of 8/8/6/6.

If you want to have 10k & 25k chips in play you'll most likely be dropping the T25 chip.

So once again your breakdown will vary relative to your starting stacks.

Or should I change the denoms? They are for high stakes, and I'm trying to keep the colors true to the denoms.

i would honestly say dont get so many denominations so that way you have more and more people can play. id say get only 3 denominations..

lowest(ex. 1$)-150
middle(ex. 5$)-100
highest(ex. 25$)-50

It depends on whether you are putting together a cash set or a tourney set...with 300 chips I don't think you should be trying to stretch to 6 denoms...4 at most but 3 would be better. If you are looking for max flexibility then get mostly 25s, 100s, and 500s...and perhaps a few $1000s to use as tourney set. Use the 100s as "$1" and the 500s as "$5" along with the 25s and you have a cash set.
