Chips: 0 | | | Color suggestions for $25,000 Key West chip Hello chip designers and chip designer wannabes. Here is a question for you. As you probably know, many denominations have relatively standard colors (red=5, green=25, black=100, etc.) but once you get into the bigger denominations then the color choices get a little more varied. So, if you were to pick colors out for a Key West $25,000 chip, what would they be?
Here are some items that should help shape your decision:
* There are certain color combinations already used for the Key West chip set. Please refer to the Key West page on Apache's site to see existing chips: http://apachepokerchips.com/keywestcasino.html
* I think the most famous $25,000 *cash* chips are the Bellagio "cranberries" mentioned in the battles between the LV pros and Andy Beal.
* The sequence leading up to that level is Black/Green (100), Purple/Pink (500), Yellow/Green (1000), Orange/Brown (5000) and I think the $25,000's should be clearly visually different than all of those.
* There is a Blue/Blue NCV chip which will not be in play at the same time as the $25,000 chips so Blue is fair game.
* Since $25,000 chips will not be in play at the same time as anything less than $100 base colors the same as or similar to lower denom chips can be used though the accent colors should be different to distinguish different denominations.
* Feel free to use PCOL's chip designer to help pick color combinations. Of course the "H" mold pattern will remain the same as will the 312 edgespot pattern.
If you would like to chime in with your opinion on what would make the best choice for a $25,000 chip, just reply to this thread with the specific base color, specific edge color, and rationale for your decision. Thanks in advance for your input!
*I'm new here but am a regular over at HomePokerTourney.com. I had originally posted the same question over there ( http://forums.homepokertourney.com/i...c,14323.0.html) but wanted feedback from a larger pool of chip junkies. |

I have requested and received permission to have PCOL make $25K chips based on the original artwork. |

Your mock-ups are DG Pink. Is that what you meant?

So you want it to be eye catching, how about making it slightly different, either say a 212 or 412 spot pattern, or maybe a 3d14. Or it you really want it to stand out, use a 3a12 with all 3 spots different colors.

If there were other variations in the set then I would look at other edge spots but I feel that I should keep to the original design and spirit of the existing set. |

Chips: 13,232 | | | Re: Color suggestions for $25,000 Key West chip Well the 3a12 would keep the same size and shape, etc but allow you to do a different color for each spot. Its not an option in the chip factory under ASM patterns, you have to use the paulson pattern to mock it up (I think its paulson 1 or 2?)
