Franklin Gothic Demi seems to be the least offensive to me from the generic list of fonts on my work computer... I like how the vertical stroke of the dollar and cent sign does not go through the C and S.

There's something at Hoefler and Frere-Jones I love under the font family name of 'Numbers' that has sets within it, but I sure as heck don't have $$ for that!

The funny thing is that for us chip freaks, aside from the dollar and cents characters (and the Euro sign for the across the pond folks) we would usually only use a few other characters for the rest of the denomination; 1, 2, 5, and 0.
Rarely will you see any of the other numbers.
So it becomes important, (at least for me) to see what the actual denomination phrase looks like, especially starting or ending with the $ and ¢.
