$5 classic casino red
$1 better casino white
50¢ )-- depends on what's available in your desired set. Getting the best
25¢ )-- chips is more important than these colors. But if I had a chance, I would pick blue and pink, but yellow or gray are also OK. |

Chips: 1,078 | | | Re: Chip Colors I think the key here is 'home game' and that's what opens it up to me beyond what's classic and traditional. I mean, come on, it's a home game set so who cares what's classic and tradiitonal?
I just had to consider this very question when adding onto one of my custom sets and here's what I'm using:
.25 - black
.50 - red
1.00 - blue
5.00 - brown
25.00 - purple Quote:

Chips: 260 | | | Re: Chip Colors not sure about the fractionals, but standard colours over here for casinos is white for 1, red for 5, and green for 25. black for 100, purple for 500, yellow for 1000. it may be easiest to have standardized colours for your set if you're planning on having cash games. tournaments aren't that bad, because there's usually no denoms printed on those chips, which means you need to have a poster or something in view displaying the different colours and denominations. |

Chips: 162 | | | Re: Chip Colors Depending on the theme I would be tempted to go with a Cali color set. The mock-ups on "The Beach" are sweet and the colors are perfect given the location of the Chiptalker and the theme! The Matsui Blue Sands is another good set where the colors just work really well with the theme.
On the other hand if the theme is an old school casino or underground card club then I'd go with traditional Vegas-AC colors.
For a cash game I would also consider getting $20 chips rather than $25s. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
