Have you bought T-Mold Semi Customs?

EDIT: Just realized searching "TMSC" for titles answered alot of questions....just looking for the end product from here forward.

Has anyone bought a set of these yet? Whats your experience? I know theres other threads about it, but they are not definitive in terms of "Here they are and here's how it went".

I need a denom'd tournament set. Was looking at the stamped "no cash value" denom'd T Molds but got curious about the T Mold customs that are handled by BCC. Are T Mold Semi's more or less the same price as custom BCC's? I'm looking for 5 denom'd inlays over 800 chips. Anyone do this yet? I read the sticky that MSPatton posted and it sounds interesting. I might just go the Tournament no cash value hot stamp route but....would love to hear your experiences. I'm kind of a Paulson only guy but I remember being impressed with T-Molds way back when 99%Evil had a set for like 2 minutes (he averages 1.7 minutes ownership per set). I just ordered a sample set to ensure I still like them. I'm also on the fence about BCC handling it as custom BCC buyers seemed to have conflicting experiences.

I haven't, but I'm very close to ordering. I plan on posting about my experience as soon as I do.

Here's the thread:

You found out that you have to get the semi customs with inlays I'm assuming? No hotstamps available on them

It's hard to place a new order when you haven't recieved the current order. I'm gonna wait to see how things turn out before making such a big commitment

For those browsing this thread...

Ordering info is outlined here:
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/724178-post9.html

In short, it's like guiness said: basically the same as ordering customs from BCC, except you pay a mold rental fee of 15¢/chip to MSPatton (HoldemPokerChips.com). You should be able to apply any promotions/discounts that BCC is offering, and maybe they'll even have a special on TMSC's at some point (I don't know anything; just hoping).

Of course, you're restricted to the chip colours determined by CTers:

And you can put whatever artwork you want (pending approval from MSPatton and BCC), and whatever inlay sizes BCC offers, etc. Again, pricing (for different denoms, different front/back, etc.) is whatever BCC charges on that day; mold rental fee is independent.

As far as I know, lots of people are working on their inlay artwork, but I don't know of anybody who has placed an order yet. No rush at this point, as MSPatton said he'll definitely run this through the end of the year - and quite possibly longer. But at the same time, I'm sure he'd like to see some orders placed this month, to gauge (actual) interest in this product.

Yeah basically I'm either doing custom inlays or buying the stock hot stamps. I'm not bound to one or the other at the moment. I don't have a real inlay design in mind...except maybe a pinup shedevil with "Dancing with the devil" around it. I dunno. Thanks for the great replies.

There seems to be a misconception that TMSC chips are available with "stock hot stamps". If you are referring to the "HoldemPokerChips" stamp with the Mardi Gras style mask, these are not available for bulk orders. Also, they are no where near perfect; Michael specifically stated that he doesn't guarantee them from any sort of faults, and my sample sets (2 of them, so 24 chips) show varying degrees of sloppy stamping. They're essentially "cancellation" stamps. I don't think Michael will sell more than a couple sample sets any individual. It's my understanding that BCC shipped a limited number of TMSC "blanks" to be "cancelled" (hot-stamped) and sold as sample sets; any bulk orders need to be purchased from BCC, and won't be allowed out of the factory without inlays.

Perhaps Michael will correct me if I missed something. Otherwise, "sample sets" can be purchased from HoldemPokerChips; larger orders are purchased direct from BCC and must have inlays.

My 18 TMold samples should be here any day now. Can't wait to compare them with the BCC sample set I have (Coconut Beach sample set given to me by Trav).

In my case I was referring to the tournament "no cash value" stamps. They appear stock:
