Another Newbie :)

HI
I Feel that i am flooding the posts with my ignorance !
ok
i have no chips whatsoever till now.
and that makes it very hard to decide of to start as we( the middle eastearns) always like to have the best at the best deal too.
well , i have a Jewelry Brand called D.Girl( copyrighted) of course.
i was thinking to share the logo with you and maybe give me some good advice on how to use it if i want it on a custom made set.
also i was thinking about the mold. i think that a diamond shape mold could be interesting,
can any company make custom clay molds? or ceramic molds?
i am sorry again if i did any technical mistakes
i am just very new to the whole chip thing

oh i didnt know how to upload my picture so i am putting the link of my site.it have the logo.
thank you

Re: Another Newbie :)

Getting a custom mold would be possible, but VERY expensive. Most likely you are going to want to incorporate your logo into the inlay of the chip if you decide to get a custom set of clays chips. You are also limited to the molds available. If you go the ceramic route then the design could be endless since you can print on the entire face of the chip.

Me personally I think a set of customs on the hourglass mold would be perfect for your logo.

I've gone ahead and posted the logo for you here.

Re: Another Newbie :)

Thank You harry for the reply
well what i need help with is :
1- do i put the entire logo in the inlay ?
2-do i put the same logo face up and in the back?
3-do i put he name in front and the girl sitting on the diamond on the back? or vice-versa.?
4- is the logo worth be putting in the first place?
5-very expensive is how much per/chip approx?
6-was just thinking that diamond represent luxury so it should be a good idea to have a diamond mold with little rays..
i think going with ceramics is a little easier although i love clays.
btw which company do custom mold clays?

thank you. so many questions.. i know

VERY BIG THANKS TO HARRY FOR TAKING THE TIME TO FIX MY LOGO ISSUE

Re: Another Newbie :)

As far as I know, the only clay manufacturer you can get a custom mold through is Blue Chip Co. The mold will cost you approximately $7500.

Re: Another Newbie :)

Welcome to ChipTalk. I also think the ASM hourglass mold would be spectacular with your logo.

Re: Another Newbie :)

Welcome! As for all of your questions, those would all be personal preference. The first thing I would suggest is getting some samples from different manufacturers and decide what you want as far as clay v. ceramic and then narrow it down to manufacturer.

It sounds like you're leaning towards clay which , for now, means ASM, BCC or Palm Imports. I would think Nevada Jacks would be bringing theirs online sometime this year and I've also heard rumors of another but nothing is positive yet.

The next thing to do would be to begin designing the chips to your liking. With clays, you'll have a choice in mold, colors and edgespot patterns. The Poker Chip Factory (link on the left side of the screen under Chiptalk Tools) can help you with those.

Lastly, you'll need to design the inlay. You can do this yourself or hire someone else to do it. By the time you get to this step, you will have looked at a bunch of chips and gotten some ideas on what you think will work best for your logo.

Good Luck!
