Is this a sickness?

Do you ever wonder if we are really a sick bunch? I mean really, I received my custom BCC's not even a year ago and I'm already figuring out how many I have to sell off in order to get a new full tourney set of ASMs.

It's not that I don't love my BCCs. They are the best set I've personally handled. And I sold off a bunch of my custom TR Kings just to make room for the BCCs. I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved them...And then I come to this God-forsaken place and the recent pic's I've seen (CU Next Tuesday-BCC and Vintage-ASM, plus the ASM oversized chip and all the new edge spot options) has my mind racing all over again. My wife would kill you all if she knew this place existed

I wonder if I'll ever be satisfied with a chip I actually own, or if it's a "grass is always greener" thing.

Anyway, I'm just venting because the Hunter in me is awakened again and I know in the next day or two I'll be spending 10-20 hours locked away in my lab, hunched over a keyboard in my design software coming up with a newer tweak on my logo and going over the millions of permutations between edge spot colors, patterns and base colors

I hope you are all proud of yourselves, ya ba$tard$

With ASM, (and 39mm chips) you've got:

21 solids.
8 different single color spots (pie included here) = 3360 possibilities
5 different two color spots = 2100 possibilities
* and if you're special
1 dual color spot (3U) = 420 possibilities
2 single spot options (112, 114) = 840 possibilities
3 tri-color spot options (314a, 312a, 614a?) = 23940 possiblities (!)

for a grand total of 30681 (if I've done the math right, and figured all the spots that are doable (meaning actually demonstrated to exist).

Not quite millions, but a whole lot!

Isn't it sad I actually went through this exercise!!

1. I still can't believe you sold those TRK Red Room's!!!!!

2. I don't think we've ever seen pictures on this site of your custom BCC's. We all loved your Red Room's so much, any chance at seeing some Pr0n on those BCC's?

Whip's custom BCCs are among the nicest I've seen. They are a World Series replica theme, and, as is obvious with his Red Rooms, he has a great talent for matching base colors and edge spots.

I have a sample set of them, which i LOVE. I think he ordered these at the lighter weight, but I would say the heavier weight BCCs are definitely the way to go.

If I have the time, I'll try to post a pic of the sample set I have.

Re: Is this a sickness?

Well I ordered the heavyweight chips. I couldn't really tell the difference between the two when I handled the couple samples Mike send me. But in large stacks they definitely have some heft.

I took some decent pictures of my BCC Little League World Series of Poker chips "racked, stacked & splashed" (I don't know who coined that phrase, but it's awesome) but when I tried to upload them to photobucket, they didn't take. I will eventually figure it out, because I'd love to share my stuff with my fellow degenerates....errr I mean Chip Lovers. I know how giddy I get when I see new chip PrOn!!!!!

I also have some pics of my custom table/felt with the Red Room logo on it. I incorporated my phrase "Where Hunch & Instinct Prevail" (an acronym for WHIP....my last name is Whipple) arched at each end and made a Bet line out of it. I think the effect turned out pretty sweet. I think 916 poker depot has a pic of it on his website. And I made a 12" carved high-density foam Poker Chip sign as well.

I'm not trying to be a chip-tease, I'm just dumb when it comes to uploading pics.
