Mike's 44mm ASM thread...

Here we go down the custom road!!! With the 44mm only being offered for a short time (possibly) I gotta get my act in gear....Here's what I'm thinking - big chips = big denoms sooo I am going to build a 25 man T 1,000,000 set - tad different I know...Here is what I am thinking using a 10,6,3,2 breakdown

5K = 250 chips
25K = 150 chips
100K = 75 + 25 for colorup chips
250K = 50 + 25 for colorup chips
NCV 25 chips

For a total of 600 chips - Right now thinking all will be 44mm - if cost is a factor I might pull a "ritz" and 1/2 will be 44mm...

Colors - No need to stay traditional - just look for 5 chips I really like with an edegespot progression - BTW I love the dayglo colors and will be using them a lot

Inlays - something simple and understated - leaning towards black inlays maybe with a retro look or a simple H in the middle, denom at the bottom

Here is what I have mocked up so far (pending unknowns about what edgespots are coming out)

Let me know what you think! Thanks

Re: Mike's 44mm ASM thread...

I like the DG Green and Black chips the best. I like the spot colors on the black alot. The brown chip is nice as well. Something about the imperial blue on the purple chip doesn't really do much for me. But thats just taste...Overall good spot progression....

Can't wait to see the mockups with the inlays.

Is that the BCC "white ring" I see on those inlays...?

Good luck...

Re: Mike's 44mm ASM thread...

I like the big chip denominations, but an NCV chip is useless. Just make it a $1,000,000 chip and complete your really big stack set properly.

I would also stay away from half pies and go with more edge spot chips. I have 3 versions of half pies and like only one of them, the brown, day glow green chip.

Re: Mike's 44mm ASM thread...

I think you should shy away from standard colors like purple and black. The reason
is you can use these chips to extend your standard Ambassador Plaza set. You
should definitely steal noelsarchs' chocolate-lime green 5000 for starters.

And LMK about the Le Cove's, OK?

Will do but I think I am keeping all of the Le-Coves for the moment - sorry bud ... no 1/2pies?? thats communism!!! re tooling now....

took out the 1/2 pie and might use a 1 million chip or a NCV as a bounty - not thrilled about the blue chip - thinking about making it white

Looking good...

But I agree something needs to be done with the blue chip.
