Chips: 36 | | | Trouble picking my ASM Mold - 44MM and 1" inlay's create questions... Getting ready to place an ASM order for my first customs. The only thing that really isn't wrapped up is the mold.
Basically, I think I'm down to the Hourglass and the A-Mold because I see that they have a couple advantages over the others.
Hourglass has 1" inlays, which is nice. A-Mold is going to have the 44mm coming out, which is nice as well.
How do you all feel about pairing an A-Mold 44mm with your non-Amold set (Hourglass in my case), about how it would look?
I'm leaning toward hourglass because I like the larger inlay.
Also, I like the textured inlays.. Is that something you ask for specifically, or does it depend on the mold you choose?
Thanks |

I'm not a fan of mixing, but I do understand your interest in 1" inlays. I've got hourglass, and fdl's (which actually had an oversized inlay) which is why I'm going A-mold for the new set. I guess it comes down to whether or not 1" is really important to you if you want to keep the set on one mold. Quote:

But I have no problem mixing a 44mm chip into my HH mold sets at all. That said, I personally would not order an entire set of A mold chips, only because I don't like it as much as the other three. Quote:

Would I get HH's in 44mm instead? Yup. but just because they're not HH's isn't going to stop me from adding 44mm to my sets. |
