Who's getting 43mm ASMs?

I'm looking to get the 5K and 25K chips in this set remade as 43mm chips:

I may just get the same edgespots, if available.

First, any comments on this plan, especially different color/edgspots (8v, please).

Second, let me know your 43mm plans.

Re: Who's getting 43mm ASMs?

I'm in for 43's. I'm getting a whole new high stakes set made for deepstack HORSE tournaments. Not sure about what new spots are going to be available, but I've got a set worked out for that "just in case" scenario.

Inlays coming soon!

Re: Who's getting 43mm ASMs?

Very possible I will

Probably I will get some rebuy chips or something i that line.

I think 5K and 25K as 43's would look good. As far as edgespots conserned I am not sure which there are to chose from. 8V would look very nice though
Looking forward to see your pron pics.

Re: Who's getting 43mm ASMs?

Absolutely adding on to my set...Looking for confirmation on spot offerings.

I will likely update the 1k and 5k from current set, plus some unusual bounty ideas that I'm kicking around

Re: Who's getting 43mm ASMs?

J, I'd recommend adding a poll to this thread. Maybe:
  1. Yes - can't wait until I hear "they're a go"!
  2. Maybe - looking forward to it, but ultimately depends on cost, spot options, other factors.
  3. Maybe - not right away, but perhaps down the road.
  4. No - (or very unlikely).

I don't think ASM has ever done an 8V-type spot, and I'm pretty sure we're restricted to whatever 43 mm punches they have.

Of the spot patterns that ASM has done in the past, I'd love to see quarter pies, and a split-spot pattern (like the "3s18" and "4s18" patterns that the Palmas US $25 and $100 had), especially if they can be multi-coloured ("3as18"?)! And maybe there'll be enough real-estate on a 43 mm chip for a 3t14 (or 3t18) or 4t14 (or 4t18)? The first 4-colour custom ASMs? (well, other than the Avalon $5, etc.)

(btw, ASM's 1/8" spots are more like 3/16", but I'll use the "1/8" spot notation for convenience)

I talked to Jim yesterday. He said there are going to be spots available that ASM has never done on 39mm chips. Some of the spot patterns are unique to the 43mm.

Unfortunately, I probably won't be getting any...

Ok this might put me over the edge. At first I was not a fan of the A mold but now that I hear this I might have to make it work. Kari you up for some more design work??

Has anyone ever seen a 43 mm chip by ASM? I spent an hour or so googling and looking around sites featuring old Nevada chips and came up empty. Gaming Ore?

Btw, I'd put myself in the "not right now; maybe down the road" category. I'm very close to achieving poker chip nirvana.

Jim told me the A mold is the only 43mm chip they have. So look for high denom A mold chips that look like they have a really small inlay.

You lie... Don't you need some 43s to go with your donkey rounders?
