| T-Mold Semi-Custom's Strategy So, I was thinking while I'm completely bored tonight (let's not ask why) I'd post some thoughts on picking chip colors and edgespots if MSPatton goes through with this. Yes, I know it's premature, but I'm really bored!
I think the smartest way to approach this would be to determine what end result people want out of this and work back from there. Assuming that these chips will end up as cash and/or tourney sets the chip colors and spots should be picked with that in mind. So, we could use this post to determine what denominations would be the most used and then work spot progression accordingly once we find out which spots are approved. Keeping in mind that MSPatton said 8 chips, possibly 9 or 10.
Or, would you just want to vote for "the most desired" 8-10 edgespots and then, subsequently, vote on colors for them? Then, people could determine their own spot progression which may, or may not, flow well because we could end up with a hodgepodge of edgespots or we could end up with the best chips yet.
Personally, I'd most likely order a cash set through this and would only use 4 (5 at the most) of the chips, so either way I'll probably be happy.
Here's my suggestion for progression if we're allowed 10 chips and try to match the chips to cash/tourney sets;
.25
1
5
20
25
100
500
1000
5000
Non-Denom with the ability to play either high or low
I understand we'll all get our own inlays and be able to pick our own denoms (or non-denoms), I'm just thinking we should pick the colors/spots with something like this in mind so that a cash or tourney set that someone orders will make sense and progress well even if they don't use the above denoms.
...or am I totally stepping out of bounds even posting this as a noob? If so, my apologies and I'll shut-up for awhile. |
