Oh, I'm in big trouble...

I just got my ASM sample chips. A whole color palette in CS and then one each in HH, A, H and Hourglass molds.

I have to say that they are nothing like what I was expecting. The big word here is TEXTURE. The CS chips have the least, more like Protege's, but not that slick. The others are like sandpaper and they stick together like glue.

The molds themselves are absolutely stunning! They F-in Rock! The HH's are completely beautiful, the A-mold just exudes class to me, the H-mold is more difficult to imagine a theme for--definitely would need to be real classic--like 1930's or The Road to Perdition, something like that. The Hourglass looks to be a Jack of all trades as for what theme to put to it. The CS mold feels like a good candidate for a modern theme tourney set--I admit, they look more "generic", but they feel great.

Anyway, I want sets with all of them now! Unfortunately, it's one at a time.

Well, I'm off to Wallyworld to get mineral oil. I have to see these colors pop!

You refer to the Proyege's being slippery. I just realized how slippery they become...only after I shuffled my sample set for 20 minutes. Do they continue to get even more slippy?

I've been shuffling my Protege samples for a couple weeks now. After the first day or so, they seemed to stabilize.

I think the ASM's will break-in also, but still be pretty grippy.

By the way, I hate Walmart. You go to spend a buck fifty on mineral oil and leave the store fifty bucks lighter

You won't be disappointed with horsehead ASM's. Speaking of mineral oil, I'm sitting here and oiling up another rack of mine right now .
