I know that ASM won't hotstamp Roman mold chips, but I know that in the past there have been hotstamped Roman mold chips. Is there a recess and if so is it enough to hotstamp them without having to scrape the center down.

I'm looking at some samples I have, and if anything, the Roman mold inlay appears to be raised; definitely more than the Hourglass mold is.
Thanks, Rose. Can you tell if you lay it on the table, does the center touch the table top?
I can't tell; but these have been intensely tricked, so mine are a bad example. It does look a wee bit more raised off the surface than a sample BCC chip I have, but they're both worn so again, bad example.
