I have some question about ASM inlay and asm print ability,
mainly about the printable area on a 1 inch inlay (i saw some ASM document that tell something like this : 1 inch inlay, 7/8 inch printable but i don't undersatnd clearly what it means because i saw full black background inlay, shapped colored inlay ect ect)...
i searched on chiptalk but i don't find it and can't send any mail to pokerchips at work.
on some of their chips, the actual inlay size reserved for the inlay may be 1 inch, but only 7/8 of that is used for a printed inlay. you'll notice in the pics that the inlay doesnt stretch to the edge of the mold. theres a small 1/8" "buffer zone" between mold and inlay
as for the full black inlay, the hourglass mold does have a full 1 inch, printable inlay
I asked a similar inlay question recently to ASM and received this in response:

Hi
We can only do 2 different sizes of inlays. The 7/8" is available on all of our molds, the 1" is only available on the American Mold or the Hourglass Mold.
Also I have an A-mold american eagle that has a 1" inlay and it goes right to the edge. I'll try to get some pictures of them for size comparison.
