There's been a discussion in the group buy forum on if ASM's hourglass chips can be hotstamped. Some were saying yes, some were saying no. I was leaning toward yes as I've tested some circle squares with favorable results.

I can now confirm--YES, they can be hotstamped:





The above pictures are from 7 ASM hourglass chips I purchased off one of the group buy participants. These are the first tests I did on these chips. The die is from my own set as the dimensions fit perfectly. I'm getting another 20 in the mail from another CT'er very soon, so the results should only get better.

As for the 7th chip not pictured, let's just say it was my first test and it didn't go so well... Pictures can be available upon request.
