Chips: 1,168 | | | Best Choice For Clay Chips With Custom Inlays Here's my dilemma. I am in the market to get my custom design on a set of chips (prally a 1000 pc set) I was going to get ceramics (Palm Imports/BR Pro Tiki molds) but then I was thinking the Progens with Labels might be the better alternative (Jason from personalpokerchips.com is apparently the top choice for this). Recently, Joe from Palm Imports announced a great chiptalk deal for custom ceramic hybrids (due Nov 15th). Logically I have to consider these as well.
I guess the list of potential considerations can go on forever. but now I have to ask myself, and you, what about custom clays? I love clay chips! Just can't beat 'em IMHO.
OK enuff Drama, What is the best choice (price, quality , look and feel) for custom clays?
Thanks for your input CT'ers!

Chips: 255 | | | Re: Best Choice For Clay Chips With Custom Inlays For custom clays, ASM or BCC seem to be the most popular choices. Get samples of each so you can compare the look, feel, etc. of each.
I've got some blank ASMs I can send you if you want to get a better idea of their feel. PM me your address if you're interested.

Thats why my home bar has Grey Goose, Smirnoffs, Sky etc....
( although we only have original DICE chips for playing cards...............)
Forget this line of thinking- keep searching/doing research- the right chip will surface

I may take you up on it but not at this time. Only because I know the financial commitment for a set of clays is probably going to be quite a bit. And I wouldn't want to create any unnecessary trouble.
I've always envisioned my clay set would be bought in segments (100 at a time) With Customs this may not be possible.
The Clay bug hit me hard because yesterday I got a ton of samples from Holdempokerchips.com (samurai's, mardi gras, t molds, Speakeasy's and other non clays too) And they immediately reminded me of how awesome clays are.
without a doubt I'll have the clays of my dreams, but 'til then reality says I'll be waiting on PI's hybrids and then deciding between those and the progens with labels. But I'll keep researching. (sometimes researching ends up in purchasing LOL ) Quote:

Anyway when the time comes I'll definately look into the ASM & BCC options.
Thanks for the help and solid advice.

Both BCC and ASM are great chips, each has some particular advantage/disadvantage over the other, but in general you should be satified with either. I have both. |

Chips: 1,709 | | | Re: Best Choice For Clay Chips With Custom Inlays Keep sampling and keep saving. Most vendors require a 300 chip minimum for customs. If you are in no hurry, maybe the true compression clays with custom inserts and inlays from China that Matt and BR Pro are talking about will be a reality when you are ready. |

Is there a thread?
I have been collecting samples for a little while In fact I got the "you coulda bought a set set of Paulsons with all the money you've spent on samples" speech. LOL
Obviously there is no end in sight to this maddening obsession.
perhaps we can all get together a begin Chip-A-Holics Anonymus.
We could meet weekly and play a home tourney with matchsticks.
each hand could start out:
Hello I am Ron and I am a chip-a-holic and I call your 6 lucky strike matches.
LOL
Cheers fellow chip horders
