Chips: 1,709 | | | T-mold Hot Stamp help I need some help with a general concept, before I can hand it over to someone to create a finished product.
I think these chips lend themselves well to a design reminiscent of an old illegal club. My first idea was trying something like a monogram chip, but with "III" instead of my initials, since I am the3rd. Most old illegals are pretty simple, but I am afraid this may be too simple. I own a '61 Coupe DeVille. My second idea was using a simplified Caddy logo and the name Deville Card Club or Poker Room. I also thought of modifying the EBC logo. My initial are EB. 3-point crown, III. Turn the c into a diamond, my favorite suit in the deck. I am a huge basketball fan too.
My only problem with the latter two is I would rather do something more original logo-wise.
I made these to inspire me, but they haven't worked as well as I hoped. These are the colors I am using, but I am only getting $1-$100 done for now.
I am still completely open to other ideas, especially those with an old school flavor. There are plenty of people around here more creative than I am. For now I am seeking ideas, not designs. Nothing with a location, date or the word casino. Thanks in advance. |

I like the III in the diamond, but I think the detail is too small and it won't stamp well. A simple diamond outline is more my style. I got the 3 points in the crown. It would work great on a printed inlay, that's for sure. Could you show it to me in silver, Matty? I was thinking of making the crown "one piece" by filling in the space in the middle point. See the circle in my attachment. Thanks for your help. |

After seeing his and MS Patton's work, I don't think these chips need butchered, ahem, I mean scraped like BCC does it. Any displaced material should wear away quickly on all but the $100s with regular play so I don't think I'll have any stacking problems. I'm only getting about 40 $100s anyway. If I do find a few problem chips, I'm sure I can take care of them. |

Chips: 2,051 | | | Re: T-mold Hot Stamp help Nice design! One suggestion I have is to avoid having too thin of a blank space between adjacent areas that will be stamped as it might be filled in with foil.
For a very reasonable fee, once you have the stamp designed, you could ask J5 to optimize the image for stamping prior to having the die made as he as experience with how well an image translates to a hotstamp with respect to spacing...etc. I did that with my die and am very happy with the result.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing the final product! |
