Chips: 26 | | | Some Questions about ASM Customs Hi CT!
After a long time of "CT-Read only" I'm planing to order a Custom ASM Set and I have a few qustions for the community about things i found no answers for:
1.) Edge Spots: On pokerchips.com are pics of the available spots, i saw a few ct-customs who had 6A14 spots, on pc.com i only found the 4A14. Are there any spots or colours for CT-Members only?
2.) Can the dayglow-colours also be used for base colours or only for edgespots?
3.) I have ASM-samples with the H-Mold, I think the A-Mold is also very nice! Any pros and cons for the two?
Thanks a lot for your answers!

Chips: 1,037 | | | Re: Some Questions about ASM Customs 1) They do offer additional edgespots to CT'ers including the 614, 6a14, and Half-Pies
2) Yes
3) IMO, mold choice is all about personal preference; they're all cool in their own way. Some are more prone to spinners and recently there has been a lot of discussion concerning the variation in chip thickness/stack heights. I won't go there though...just do a search for "ASM thickness" and you should find a few threads.

I read the threads about the thickness variaton, your post with the 1/4chip thickness difference is just fine, i wouldn't make much more science about it.
One question to point 3): are there any differences in "stackability" between the A and the H-Mold or is one of those two a little slicker than the other? |

Chips: 251 | | | Re: Some Questions about ASM Customs Would like to add just a couple points. PCO have some great molds, personally I like the Roman, the "H" and the American, but you should take note that different molds provide different size availability for your inlay. Also, if you use the day glo colors for your base, you will not have the brass flecks visible in the chip that many people, including myself, find especially unique and appealing about ASMs.
Just a couple things to consider. Good luck. Custom ASMs are a great way to go and PCO is an excellent company to deal with, imho.

I have the Arc Yellow as a base color (Arc Yellow is, in fact, a DG color) and is slightly lighter than the other chips, but is does not cause us any problems whatsoever in games. Just wanted to you be aware, though. |

I think the ASM's are a little lighter than Pauslons, another loss of weight in comparison to the ASM samples with brassflakes i have, is maybe a little to much.
I wouldn't believe someone who told me how hard it is to find a theme for the customs... sitting in front of my monitor with a black circle and a big, white nothing in it...
Any ideas for theme? |

Any ideas for theme? | I know that feeling. I've been thinking about a set of custom ASM's for a cash set. But, everytime I try to come up with a theme, I'm stumped. Good luck with your's. |

I have at least 15 different chips in two orders, and I used day glow pink, day glow peach and day glow green for my base colors on three chips.
I am also now placing a new order for some half pies.
As for thickness and stackability, I have had no problems with either of those issues.
Regarding your theme above, I think that looks very nice. |

Hard to tell wich is the best but i really like the black 6A14, the yellow 3D14 and 4D14 (is this grey with purple?) also the new one with the black label... Man, i like them all!!!!!
I think sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the DG-Pink and the Pink.
