BCC Hot stamped chips

Just a question. I've heard of hot stamped chips from BCC not stacking very well due to the hot stamp. Is this true with all BCC custom HS chips?

I've been told from the folks at BCC that they scrape the excess material from the stamping process. Doing so would seem to prevent any stacking issues.

I have 600 or so hot stamped Desert Palms I got from the Chip Room and have not noticed any problem whatsoever with them. As a matter of fact, they are awesome in every way!!!!

Re: BCC Hot stamped chips

I'm not sure how high you need to stack chips -- personally it's a rare night if anyone goes over 40 chips high. Still, I had to test it out so I just ran downstairs, stack up 60 and pushed them around a bit. Sure, the have a wobble to them, but they never fell over nor were they close to doing so. If you need rock solid piling to build a structure on they won't work -- but I think for 98.273% of normal poker players they'll do just fine.

Re: BCC Hot stamped chips

Flame mold chips have a recess so any displaced material will not effect stacking because it does not rise above the recess. I've played a lot with Ranman's HS and a little with Maniack's HS BCCs. You can build structures with them. They are rock solid. If you have a chip with no recess stamped and they are not scraped, you still will not have much of a problem. Just use them. In time they will break in and stack fine.
