WISH-N-CHIPS OVERVIEW
The Wish-N-Chips Charity Fundraiser was conceived to not only contribute to a very worthy organization, but also allow Chiptalk members to pick up a few custom ceramic poker chips to commemorate the fundraising event. Last year's event raised
over $1500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Once again, Gene from ABC GIFTS AND AWARDS (a Chiptalk Sponsor) will be producing the chips. Whether you choose to use your chips as holiday themed gifts or more traditional additions to your poker game, your help will go a long way for a wonderful charity. The Make-A-Wish foundation gives hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions by providing unimaginable or unaffordable wishes. DONATION/PAYMENT EXPLAINED
To get your donation started with
step 1, follow the Chiptalk link to the Make-A-Wish website. This link tracks our total contributions. Click the "Other" choice and enter a value you would like to donate directly to Make-A-Wish. Follow the online steps to complete your donation. You will receive an email confirming your donation as well as a printed copy in the mail. Your charitable donation is tax deductible.
To verify that your donation was received, forward this email to: sales@lynbark.com. By using this direct link, we eliminate donated funds being lost to credit card or paypal fees, and you feel comfortable that the entire donation is in the hands of the charity.
is to help us cover the expense of creating and shipping your 3 custom ceramic chips. Follow the paypal link (step 2 button). You will be taken to a webpage where you will need to click the button again. This allows us to use the paypal script to easily generate your $2 invoice for checkout. For every 3 custom chips, Lynbark will be contributing $1.12 - $1.76 per order. The paypal payment helps offset the wholesale cost of the chips, bubble wrap packaging, first class shipping, and a minimum of $.42 in paypal fees. If you would rather send a check or concealed cash, please email us for instructions. Step 2 will also provide us with your correct shipping address for your package.
ORDERING YOUR CUSTOM CHIPS
The
3rd step involves your choice of design customization. Send a second email to
sales@lynbark.com which describes your custom chip design. You can select only one of the 10 basic templates to use for all three of your chips. All of the 10 template designs can be customized with your own text or have no text at all. If you are using a family photo, include the jpeg with your requested design and any other details in the email. Feel free to use any of the 10 templates for any purpose. For example, you could use the Floral template with custom text instead of a photo. You might also want to create your own art to be placed on the face of the chips. The art can be a high res jpeg, but should be 300 dpi or higher and 2" x 2" minimum. The rolling edges can not be changed.

The final step is to approve the art for your custom chips. As we receive your design requests, we will begin working on mockups for your chips. We'll email you the mockups for approval or make revisions as needed. All art will be sent to ABC within 48 hours of the conclusion of the fundraiser. Updates will be posted in this thread and all packages will ship via First Class mail in plenty of time for the holidays.

If I donate $30, can I receive 9 chips with 3 different designs?
Yes. We are willing to spend the extra design time to get more donations. Or you can get 9 chips with the same design. During Step 2, you can simply increase the Quantity in the paypal form, use $2 for every 3 chips.
Can I get 3 different designs on my 3 custom chips?
No. Only 1 design, but it can be any modified version of one of the nine templates. For $20 donated, you could get 2 different sets of 3 chips, or get 6 total chips in the same design.
Can I send art for the rolling edge or have the colors/design different from the current red/white striped edge?
No. The fact that all the chips will have the same rolling edge is one reason ABC agreed to handle dozens of very small unique orders.
How do I get the special commemorative logo chip as a bonus?
Make your donation count more by giving at least $25 and become a Star Donor. If you donate more than $10 please indicate if you would like the additional chips for each $10 increment. For example, you might only want 3 chips but donated $25. Your paypal payment should be only $2, and you will receive 3 chips + the bonus commemorative chip. Or for $25, you could request 6 total chips with 1 or 2 unique designs, plus receive the bonus chip. For 6 chips, your paypal payment would be $4.
Can I make my donation anonymous?
If you would prefer we not post your Chiptalk name as a donor, just include this request in your Step 3 email.
Will my personal photos or chip art be shown publicly?
Although we will likely take and post a few photos of the Wish Chips stacked together, your photos and invidual art will not be posted or shared publicly without your consent. Feel free to post your own chip pics in this thread.
Can I make a donation without getting the custom chips?
Sure. Just email us your chiptalk name & donor receipt email so we can include you in our list of donors. Please do not send the $2 paypal payment if you've gone with this option.
I'm not in the U.S. Can I still donate and get my custom chips?
Yes. Please make your payment $3 for Canada and $4 for other international destinations via USPS standard Air Parcel.
When is the last day to place my order?
The fundraiser ends November 11, 2007 at 11:59 PM EST. All art will be finalized, approved, and forwarded to ABC Gifts & Awards for production. Follow this thread for updates.
When can I expect my chips?
We've planned this to be completed in time for holiday use. Printing very small orders of unique chipsets is time consuming. As the final day for the fundraiser approaches, we will have a better idea of production time needed. All chips should be in our hands 7-10 days after art is finalized. All packaging will be ready to go before chips arrive and will be mailed immediately to all donors worldwide.
