BCC = Bad Chip Company?

Heard nothing but terrible things about BCC this past month. Quality control issues, huge wait times, and reluctance to fix problems are all things I've heard about BCC recently.

I'd like to hear where CT stands on this company's service when it comes to home custom chips.

Re: BCC = Bad Chip Company?

Yeah Ive heard some bad things as well. Kind of glad we never went thru on the HIGH STAKES POKER chips. I do know that they have a high threshold for what is acceptable for a custom chip. Inlays off center, marks on chips, scratched inlays.

Add not returning emails to the list. I don't care if they're not known for answering emails. If you don't want to read and reply to emails, don't put your address on your site under "contacts".

I know I'm an anomaly when it comes to them not answering my phone calls too, but it is what it is.

Re: BCC = Bad Chip Company?

Only got a few Samurais from the very first run and the quality is not the best. There are off center prints and splashes of the edgespot colors all over some chips, but I heard and saw that these things had been fixed.
But what I can't understand about BCC are the extremely high fees for custom chips. They cost a fortune compared to ASM.

I own a rack of proteges and they are great looking chips. my only beef with them is to do with the actual blanks BCC uses, ie sound, feel, and stackability. But I see no major quality issues with proteges.

Re: BCC = Bad Chip Company?

That sounds good to me. Now i own a Set of Paulson PCR´s, i think the Protege will stack better. Never got Proteges or any BCC´s in my hands...so for me its a little like buyin a cat in the bag.

Re: BCC = Bad Chip Company?

They do offer much better options when it comes to color combos and edge spots for custom chips. If you can deal with the rest of the BS and the flame mold

POL/ASM is starting to loosen up a bit on edge spots though. And the hour glass mold is excellent from the looks of it

I can only say that the service I received was great, and the chips were 100%.

Yeah, it seems ASM is really opening up. Now with larger inlays possible on the hourglass as well as the half pies being available, it seems like going with ASM is a no brainer to me.

I find BCCs chips too hard, the feel and sound of the chips arent great IMO.
