New mockups for custom ASMs

Well, I'm thinking very seriously about taking advantage of pokerchips.com's September sale, especially now that I have a sample of the hourglass mold (awesome). I am thinking of solid colors with an inlay (I don't know if inlay should be dark-colored or white).

Re: Considering cash custom--seeking advice on color choices.

I had a cheap cash set (well, still do, but that's beside the point) that had white, blue, red, and yellow chips... the primary theme really worked.

How 'bout white 10¢, yellow 25¢, imp-blue $1, mand-red $5?
Actually, your suggestion (with chocolate 25¢) is also good, and frees up yellow for an optional $20 chip (for re-loads).

Or you could go Cali (of course)... maybe
white 10¢, (DG?)pink 25¢, imp-blue $1, yellow $5.
You could top the Cali set off with a red $10 or black $20, if desired.
Hmm... almost has a "CMYK" thing going on...

Re: Considering cash custom--seeking advice on color choices.

If you have denoms on the inlays, put you favorite colors on the chips that get the most use. Don't tie yourself down to casino standards. They are custom and they are yours. FWIW, I personally prefer blue to imperial blue, mandarin red to red and lavender to purple.

Very much like the colors you selected, think they go great together, and LOVE the idea of having a chocolate chips as your $.25

Oh, and I say go for a dark inlay. Looking forward to seeing how things develop.

Re: Considering cash custom--seeking advice on color choices.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking a dark inlay as well. I prefer the blue to imperial blue as well, but when I used the chip designer the imperial blue looked better next to the chocolate. However, I do recall when I had physical samples of the ASMs that I much prefered the blue.

We'll see if these get off the ground. I really wanted to go the T-mold route, but those may be a ways away.

BTW, I got an hourglass sample and the mold is amazing.

Re: Considering cash custom--seeking advice on color choices.

Agree completely. Pick your fave colors and use them. Confining yourself to standards on a custom set isn't necessary. That's what I did on my last set and I couldn't be happier with the results. Good luck.

Re: Considering cash custom--seeking advice on color choices.

I used the chip factory to mockup some images with a generic label. Can anyone help me post the images in my OP? I tried the search and the FAQ functions.

Thanks.

Re: Considering cash custom--seeking advice on color choices.

What I did was to save those images to my hard drive and then edit them in Paint. I then saved them and uploaded to imageshack and then pasted to the CT thread.

Re: Considering cash custom--seeking advice on color choices.

Just in case Andi's explanation wasn't detailed enough-

Click on view all with information in the Chip Factory.
Hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It will appear as if nothing has happened.
Open MS Paint.
Select Paste.
Crop out all of the extraneous bits of the image.
Save.
Upload to ImageShack or PhotoBucket.
Insert into your post.
Share with everyone the awesome hourglass hotness.
