I don't think they ARE the custom chip of choice...for me its BCC.

And if BCC had faster turn-around time, they would DOMINATE the Custom Clay market!

I think Matsui have become the GROUP BUY chip of choice. Matsui have a 10K chip minimum per order, very few homegames need that many chips.

But I think the ultimate custom chip are SunFlys. Most people go for ceramics if they decide to do customs.

LOL we would argue the 8 stripe abs composite slugged chip is the custom chip of choice- since we crank out an aweful lot of these each and every day.

The Matsui group buys have a lot going for them. It's the only chance to get a Bud Jones Style chip, Matsui are responsive have good artists and have a quick turnaround time, they also make plaques. Josh seems to have struck up a good relationship with them and even though I'm sure we represent a miniscule amount of their business, from my standpoint they seem to treat us as valuable customers.

Well done Josh (J5 and others) for developing this avenue for chips

LOL I dont mean to laugh-- but even ordering ONLY samples could be construed as a waste of hard earned money.
Ive always liked Matsui chips- I just wish they were more affordable
