Chips: 8 | | | ASM chips question I have a set of 1000 Horse Head mold chips from the first group buy that was done on here, led by ledavatar. I am looking to add to my set. The question I have is, are ALL ASM chips regardless of mold, similar in consistency, size, and color? If I got new chips with H Mold or Roman, or American Mold chips would there be a significant difference when they are racked or stacked? I have one American Mold Sample and one Roman Mold Sample. The Roman Mold seems a lot slicker and shinier than the Horse Head Molds, while the American Mold seems almost identical to the Horse Heads in look and feel. I also see some can be hot stamped and some can't so I assume there is a difference besides just look and the roughness of the surface.
Does anyone have any input on the differences in the molds besides look? |

Aside from the cross-hatching applied to the chips, and perhaps a small recession for an inlay, they'll all be the same size, close in weight and exactly (within high tolerances) the same colour.
Pobody's nerfect, but these will be damn close. If you're adding to an existing set, I'd stick with the same mold though. Why deviate?

Chips: 8 | | | Re: ASM chips question Thanks for the answers. As to why deviate, I am looking to for used ones and if I find any in the colors I want, but with different molds I don't really care as long as the colors, weight and general consistency of the chips are the same. |

If you are going to have the chips with the different mold be different denoms, it would probably be just fine, but I wouldn't mix molds in the same denom.
I can't comment on the colors however. Sorry. |

I was told by ASM that the Roman mold, for example is slightly larger and thinner than the HH
plus, several of them have different sized inlays
