Warped BCC's

Here are some shots of the warped BCC's we waited 6 months for.

I think it's a little more obvious in person than what comes out in the photos.

What do you think? I've got 41 out of 300 like this.

Is it just me or are they a little off?

Re: Warped BCC's

Wow, I would think those are obvious enough to relegate them to the reject pile.

I had a few warped inlays in my custom BCC order (2 each of the 100s and 5s), but not as prounounced as yours:

Not sure what the tolerances are for the super grands, but for the 1", it appears to be that if the inlay does not exceed the recess, it's good enough to release. This appears to be an industry tolerance, as I've seen this occasionally in casino paulsons. But then again, 4 in a release of about 600 is better than 41 out of 300. Are the other 35 just as bad?

Re: Warped BCC's

Nexttime, those are awful!

The only inlay problem I had were some off-center ones - but they were round rather than oblong. Hard to tell, but are the actual chips warped or "just" the inlays?

BTW, I just tried calling over to BCC but no one picked up.

Re: Warped BCC's

I just did the math.

174 out of 695 of the .25 and .50 are bad so that's 25% of my order that came out bad.

41 out of 300 of the NCV are bad, so that's 13.7% of my NCV order that's bad.

Yeah, the others are as bad. I didn't bother to count the ones where "new york, new york" are cut of at the bottom.

You know, I am getting more and more pissed off as I type. I'm heading out for a while.

You should be pissed. This is completely unacceptable IMO.

Re: Warped BCC's

Not that it's any encouragement, but I've seen BCC inlays on actual casino chips that were just as bad. As an example (indicative of BCC quality problems, not problems with the fantastic site from whom I nicked the link):

http://www.nevadacasinochips.com/GGate100th.jpg

This seems particularly prevalent in the 'giant' inlays, like yours. I have always had a low opinion of BCC quality because of this. My opinion has slowly been changing since coming to this board, as it seemed as if they had improved a bunch and overcome the quality control issues. It's disappointing that they apparently still suffer from this.

Regardless, if they were my chips I wouldn't accept them. In general, quality is only as good as customers demand. If we demand less, we will have to accept less.

Just IMHO. Good luck in any case,

bjjensen

Re: Warped BCC's

I have 8 that are out of wack. And of those 4 with actual damage to the chip or the label. Although many more are sorta round.(30-40)
