Now that I've got my Avalons, I'm not sure what to do with my time. From conception to creation it's been nearly a year. That's a long time to focus on one design. I feel like I need to design/buy/collect more chips. Anybody got any ideas in their head that they need committed to clay? Any new group buy ideas? Anything?

Congrats on your chips! They look great!

I'm not looking for help, but can semi-commiserate and understand- I'm 7 months into my design (and that doesn't include the 18 months leading up to that were I was wanting to do something, but hadn't found the right ideas and options to truly get started). I just got proofs that are close to being right. So, there's still some time left before they are in my hands. But, it will be a nice, strange place to be in where I'm not thinking/dealing with it anymore.

Maybe you can give the new Matsui group buy (which started with an "Eclipse" theme) a kick in the artistic derriere. There's a bizillion posts and no art work. There has been some talk of switching it to some other theme even. They seem to have a ton of interest in non-existent chips!

Well, you could start working on a design for Samurai Palace plaques by Matsui - preferably some $100s (for cash games) and/or $25,000s (for tournaments). Such a thing was proposed 1,000,000 years ago, and Elijah and Michael said they'd thought about it but the time wasn't right, and then the magical mint-chocolate quarter-pie chips were proposed (originally as a $25,000), and plaques haven't been mentioned since...

At least, that's what I'd be working on if I had time. Personally, I'd be all over 10 x $25,000 plaques that fit nicely in the card slots of my 750-chip "mahogany" tourney case, and 10 x $100 that fit under the racks in my "oak" cash-set case... but that's a far cry from actually getting a group-buy / order going (would need much support from HPC). And you don't (currently) have a set of Samurais, so you might not be interested - and might be stepping on Elijah's toes a bit, since he designed and shares rights to the Samurai Palace artwork.
