Re: have anyone one sign a contract with asm chips.

I think you mean just personal orders, right?

If that is correct, then no.

thanks
I am confused by your post.

Do you mean that ASM wants you to sign a contract, where you say you will not sell the chips they made for you?

OR

That you want ASM to sign a contract, saying they will not sell/use your design to/for anyone else?

Assuming it's the former...
I didn't sign anything when I bought chips from them, but I did the artwork myself. Do you have potentially copywrited material in your design? The only other possibilty I can think of is now that they are offering more edgespots combos, they are running into colour combos that have been used for casinos, and they are trying to protect that. I'm just guessing though.

Re: have anyone one sign a contract with asm chips.

hi let me explain it clearly,

i have a friend that has a set of chips from asm.silimar to chips they made for there movies, but thy made him sign a contract not to sell them to anyone, means that the buyer has to keep them no matter what.i am a litte confuse about that.

I haven't heard of them doing this but it's perfectly reasonable and understanding of them to do so, IMO. Are we talking about KGB's or Chesterfield's from "Rounders" here?

That is what I assume he is talking about. Probably the rounders knock offs that were made before ASM shut the door on doing those ever again

Re: have anyone one sign a contract with asm chips.

If you're already thinking about what happens if you break the contract, then you shouldn't enter into the contract. BTW, the owner of ASM and some of the staff visit chiptalk regularly, so they may be even more apprehensive after reading this.
