Chips: 149 | | | Cali-Colors I've read a lot of posts about suctom chips. Some reference cali-colors.
Is this a standard color scheme used in California?

Rainbow Club in Gardena, CA (closed)
$1 blue
$2 red
$5 yellow
$20 dark brown
$100 purple
Monterey Club in Gardena, CA (closed)
$1 blue
$2 red
$5 yellow
$20 black
Vineyard Casino in Fowler, CA (closed)
$1 blue
$2 green
$5 yellow
$20 black
$100 white
The most obvious thing about California colors is the big three---California ones are generally blue, whereas in Vegas, they could be blue or white. California fives are commonly found in yellow. California rooms have offered $10/20 games for a long time, so you'll often see a $20, instead of a $25. The twenties are generally black. |

I have the cash set determined:
Pink $0.25
Blue $1
Yellow $5
Black $20
I have three quarters of the tourney set determined:
Purple T25
White T100
Yellow T500
What (if applicable) are the cali colors for 1000 (and 5000) chips? I was kinda thinking sky blue for T1000 and gray for T5000 (even though gray seems to be among the traditional T5000 colors.)
Thanks in advance for the help. |

If you go with non-denominated chips, then yes this may be more important, but most home games have several players who have never set foot in a casino. Put your favorite colors and favorite insert patterns on denominated chips that will see the most use. Custom should mean custom.
I do not think there are standard CA colors above $100, but most $500s I have seen were some shade of beige or peach. |
