Chips: 519 | | | Custom Mold I was thinking about making up a custom mold.
What would the cost be and would my Soup bowl and spoon work?
Granted, it's only the roughest of rough starts.
Thanks,

Chips: 1,707 | | | Re: Custom Mold You might want to do a search as I think this subject has come up before. If you're talking about making a mold for clay compresson chips I believe the cost parameters, at least the ones I've heard of, are between $7,500-40,000. Then there's the issue of who would be willing to use this mold. As of now there are only 2 (well I guess 3 sort of) folks making clay comprssion for the home market. |

Pardon the semi-threadjack, but so many people seem to be in love with the TH & C mold. Does it really look that cool? Or is it just that it is associated with the classic Paulson chip? |

Roland (I think) is one of the only successful mold creators on traditonal compressed clay manufacturers.
I think that house molds rock. Stocktrader, try thinking outside the box. Screw the TH&C precedent and find a house mold that suggests something to you more to your liking.
Caesars is awesome. MGM is bland. Union Plaza is awesome.
All are text driven, but the two cool ones try to feed in more design elements either through font choices or other elements to make their house molds unique.
MGM just used a san serif font and caps, boring, but still nice.

BCC is supposed to be working on a new mold that will be available to the home market, so I am hoping they come up with something really nice. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
