can anyone explain to me the process of creating your own stamp for hotstamping
i assume its pretty similar to doing a label (i.e. doing up the artwork) but who actually creates the stamp?
and, in looking through my options, seems as if i could -
1 - get 'em on BCC and BCC could do the whole process for $100 set up fee per denom
2 - get 'em on ASM circle square with just the denoms they have available with no customizing.
3 - get 'em on T-mold but would have to have them to BCC. ive heard this is at a cost of .25 a chip. i assume this doesnt include the cost of the stamp, correct?
4- get 'em on other ASM mold and send them to BCC.

Sounds like you have it about right. BCC/ASM who ever sends it out to someone that actually makes the die.

BCC do have stock denominations (including TR Kings' old stamps). Some very nice results have come from using a single custom non-denom stamp on one side and then stock denominations on the other side - only one setup fee.

Maybe i'm wrong but i think ASM hot stamp only the A-mold.
I always assumed the reason ASM doesn't hotstamp other molds is because the other molds can't take the process... If you are going to get another mold and have it hotstamped, check with ASM first...
