$400 for custom ceramics...

i recently got a surprise bonus of 400 and have decided to go ahead and finally buy some custom ceramics... they will be a Phi Delta Theta logo and one of my brothers is doing the artwork... what i need your help for is deciding who to buy from, and the chip breakdown with what i can afford for my price range (pref. 10 man tourney) if i cant afford anything worthwile for that price just let me know and i'll look for something else to spend this on! thanks in advance.

Re: $400 for custom ceramics...

It depends on what you like as far as feel. Many people can't stand the smooth ceramics. ABC discontinued their textured chips so that leaves you with one option if you want textured, Sunfly. I would avoid NJ until they use up the bad batch of Sunfly blanks they have. I prefer smooth chips. Another thing to consider is edge design. Even Joe will tell you ABC is the place to go for aligned edge spots or other detailed edge work. With all of the things you can do to the edge, simulating a clay edge spot seem silly to me. Plus it will eat up your budget.

You can't go wrong with ABC or PI. Both provide great service and bang for the buck.

I'd go with thechiplab.com

Chipcos are just the best blank out there.
