Chips: 50 | | | Ncv? I'm going to (hopefully) be buying a set of custom PI clays for a 300 pc cash game setup. I was going to go 125 x .25, 125 x $1, and 50 x $5, but instead I think I'll go 125 quarters, 125 dollars, and 50 NCV so I can play either .10/.25 and use them as dimes or .25/.50 and use them as fives. What color do you guys think would work best? I really hate the color of the "red". I'm thinking orange. Thoughts? |

NCV= No Cash Value A term used generally on chips to denote that they are used for Tourney play and the value does not represent a ash value indicated by the denomionation listed on the chips itself Non-Denom= Non Denominational Chip A term used to indicate that a chip does not have a set Cash or Tourney value printed on it but is instead left blank or symboled. As a result, it can be used for several different values in any number of games and can be changed at the hosts desire. You want a Non-Denom... And I like Yellow and Orange. Look for a color that flows well with the other colors in your set and is not commonly used in a normal value... (Like Green is usually known as a $25 chip). And sorry about the definitions above... It's a pet-peeve of mine. NCV & Non-denom are different. I know... I need to get over it. all in good fun & good luck with the set! |

My quarters are blue and my dollars are white. I'll probably go with orange for the non-denoms since I'm also putting together a tourney set of greens, blacks, and purples. I would use the red but the PI clay red is so gross. |

I didnt like the Red either - the color scheme of the pharaohs is similar to what PI is selling.

I have to admit, I've never heard it as no CHIP value but I guess that would make sense then. I stand (sorta) corrected.. & I still say Orange. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
