Chips: 43 | | | What are my options for a custom chip? I am considering going custom. I just don't know where to start. I have gone to pokerchips.com, but there is not much in the way of guidelines/instructions. I have experimented with colors and edgespots, and i know what I like now.
I want to be allowed to choose base colors, edgespot color and type, as well as inlay design. The mold is much less important as long as the chip is "real" clay. I don't want ceramic or composite.
Is ASM my only choice? Does Blue Chip just let me choose the inlay?
I can spend about $1000 and I need 500-600 chips. What is your opinion?
Also, are there other Chip Design programs out there?
Thanks,
Jeremy |

Both companies molds, colors and available insert patterns are in the Chip Factory and JM pointed out.
Call pokerchips.com (ASM) with questions on what's avaiable. I'm told the best way to reach BCC is via e-mail.

I've been communicating with both companies in the last week or so. Emails have been replied to very quickly and very thoroughly.
And as everyone has said, check out ChipFactory. Make sure you're in a comfortable chair though... |

What will I pay for 600 chips with five denominations and custom edge spots, with textured inlays and my own artwork? I've never gotten a good ballpark figure to this question. Less than $1000? Over $2000? |

Chips: 3,968 | | | Re: What are my options for a custom chip? Your cost with ASM includes the services of a professional graphic designer (Sandy). She'll tweak until you are happy. BCC charges you an artist fee per denom (so if you want 5 different chips -- the same inlay, but maybe with different colors and certainly a different denom -- you are paying 5 times).
ASM's with multi-color edge spots and two different inlays on each side are $1.45 per chip. So 500 of their most expensive chip should still only set you back $750 after shipping. If you tone back some of the options (one color edge spots or solids, same inlay on both sides, etc), they are less expensive.
I'd budget for $1 - $1.25 per chip to be safe... Like I said, up to $1.50 if you go crazy... I'm not super hip to BCC's prices.
BCC has alot more options in terms of edge spots and colors available.

They will be more than happy to walk you through the process...they did with me! www(dot)pokerchips(dot)com will also give you a better idea of what they're all about.
600 chips with a custom inlay with multi-colored edgespots will run you $1.45/chip plus shipping, so I'd say a shade under $1000. |

So with 5 denoms, it would be $750, plus the price per chip (600 @ $1.45= $870) for a total $1,630. So it costs about $2 per chip. I could probably handle that, but it really makes the Samurai Palace chips even prettier @ $1.15 per! |

You can get multiple denominations for only 1 fee...but you can ONLY change the denomination AND the background must be white. |

If you want the most cost effective then go ASM. They are well worth it. The price is set, includes artwork fees, and you can have 6 totally different inlays (with whatever color backgrounds you want) if you buy 600 chips. There are more edge options available then what they show on their website; just tell them you are a member of chiptalk and they'll tell you all about it. They will also oil your chips before they ship (since you are a member).
I personally did a mix of 1 color and 2 color spots for my ASM chips and my average was $1.35/chip. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
