| Re: Advice about ordering custom clays Matt,
I am by no means an expert, having only done it once. But since there is no response to your question yet, I thought I would describe my experience.
I got my custom ASMs a couple years ago. The process was very straight forward.
1) I got in contact with a buddy of mine who does CGI work professionally. He was between projects and had some time, so I told him what I had in mind, and he whipped it up fast. I only wanted one inlay, same design on both sides, so that was easy. If you want two different faces, and denominations, etc., then you will need more images. I needed just the one, and he delivered a large JPEG.
2) I contacted pokerchips.com by phone, told them what I wanted. I gave them mold information (roman braid), edge spot style and color combinations, and quantity for each. They gave me an order number and contact for someone to send my inlay image.
3) I emailed the contact person my image.
4) A day or two later I received a "proof" showing my inlay with the edge spot style and color. I approved the proof and off they went. Some initial deposit charged to my credit card.
5) Months later, chips arrived. Elation followed. So did much chip pr0n. |
