Hello All,
I have been lurking here for a week or two and am very impressed by the site, the knowledge base of the CT'ers and just the fact there is a place for a complete poker nerd like me to belong.
That being said, I have been doing fairly well in a 3-5 NL game recently and am interested in investing some of the winnings in some custom ceramic chips. I know to get a few samples and evaluate (already partial to Chipco's, but not crazy about the total cost.)
In the mean time, I was wondering if I could get a few unbiased opinions about an idea for a design, mostly because of the heavy black base that would be common throughout multiple denominations. I do not have any art work done yet, but I want to use the linked CD cover for a base

There are four or five of these albums with slighly altered covers. I want to keep the base colors, keep the majority of the text, make a thin outline on the chip of the same background color, match the color for edge striping, and finally change out the portrait in the middle with denominations.
The reasoning is T-Bone is an old nickname, I am a big fan of blues and the original T-Bone Walker, and I think this would be a classy look for a chip, if the abundance of black doesn't kill the overal design.
Please give me some feedback as this will be my first (and probably last) custom design, and I would like some thoughts from all the experience here.
Please let me know if I didn't make my thoughts clear, and I will post some base art of my thoughts when I get a chance to.
Thanks in advance
