I am using Microsoft Word right now. I have a font at home called Vivaldi. This is also the same type of font used on our custom ceramics.
I would like to download the font on my computer here at work but I don't know how or any sites that have free download. All the sites I've been to, you have to buy them.
If it's not a free font and you own a license to use the font, you can likely copy it over from the "fonts folder" on your computer at home. I don't know of any fonts where the license indicates it can only be installed on one computer.
Of course maybe you're saying that the problem is that it's inconvenient to get it from home?
Thank you very much for the quick responses. I never tried to copy it from my home computer. I'll try that one. The first site didn't have the font and the second site forwarded me to fonts.com which I would have to pay.
If you get it off of your comoputer at home, usually when a font is installed on Windows OSs, the font will also get copied to the font folder which is by default:
C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
Although your installation path for windows may vary, so it may be named something other than WINDOWS.
The Vivaldi font that gets distributed with Windows is usually installed as C:\Windows\fonts\viva.ttf (in XP Home) or another directory like WinNT. You can copy it and take it to the other computer by this file name, or copy it from your Fonts app in Control Panel (see below).
But then you must Install the font from wherever you copy it into, by using Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Fonts, then File -> Install New Font (and check Copy Fonts to Font Folder). This will put it into your Fonts folder and make it available to any Windows application.

Your Windows came with vivaldi? I always find it amazing how the fonts distributed with different versions of Windows can change so much. I miss Matisse from Windows 98.
