Lucasfilms will allow the blatant theft of any copyright material relating to Howard the Duck. If you can manage to make a profit off of that then you're already way ahead of us.
| Well...it might as well say that. |

Clearly whoever the rep-fanatic is, they're not using the system for its intended purpose. |

I mean what department would you call? How do you get those numbers, etc etc ...
Specifically I am interested in doing a Batman set of chips plus another related photographic project I have, but would like to cover my bases as much as possible. Just play it safe ... and because despite what my posts may lead some to believe, I DO respect copyright, the work done by artists, and their right to be compensated for it.
Any Information woul dbe MOST helpful ... Thanks!

I had the pleasure to meet Joe last week since we both live and work in the same town. I think it is a shame that his sponsorship is ending here in the way that this thread has gone. When I stopped by to see Joe, he was clearly busy. He stopped what he was doing and showed me the stuff he had been working on, different chips and talked to me about the forum and his business. He was clearly happy that a member of the forum had stopped by to say hello and didn't care if he was selling anything or not. I didn't even realize there was a rep system until I read this thread. Go ahead and hit me, I guess I will go negative! I'm glad I joined before you closed down on the site Joe, otherwise I probably wouldn't have had the chance to stop by and meet you guys at PI and check out the facility.

Chips: 2,987 | | | Re: Can I use trademark images on a private set? This discusion is far to important in my opinion to stay at this thread. Since I joined the Creativity alliance I have been waiting for a good, healthy and fair discusion on the subject. (Without any neg reps involved).
I have been waiting since I do not see myself very skillfull argumenting in english and also since I do not think I have the best knowleuage in the matter. How ever I think this thread like some others tend to be a bit of a punch in the air.
Do we think this is an important subject? (I do) And if so do we want to address it properly. Throwing bricks at eachother will not do any good and I also think that many of us has not always thought as we do today. Changing opinion comes from within with the help of others good arguements and not from beeing attacked. Futher more I do not think that this discusion shall be hold with the vendors since they only obey the masses. If someone is to be blamed I say it is us for asking of them what we do.
We need to hold this discusion among us who loves chips and as far as I concerned invite people from the chipboard to add some other thoughts in the matter.
If most of us do not think this whole issue is a problem, well so be it. But I am certain that most of us will see it as such after getting all the arguements. If I am right I am sure the vendors will produce new and exciteing chips for us to buy.
My post has very litte to do with one tiny Star Wars set but with this whole question of tributes, copys and stuff like that. Of course people can design and buy chips outside of Chiptalk but I think our generall stand is important.
I do not ment to accuse nor defend anyone since this is not my role and If this is concidered a threadjack by some I am sorry but this is what I think is important in the long run.
Also I whold like to say that even if I am critical to this thread as a whole some good arguements has been delivered.
..... and as I said in the start, I hope someone else take this ball since I am very frustrated over my inability to express my thoughts in english in a complexed matter like this. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
