New Edge Options ARE available again at ASM

I did verify with Glenda at pokerchips.com that:

ARE available if you ask for them. There may have been a couple of others available as well. Just call them for the low down.

Unfortunately on my order it was too far in the process (all the chips have been made and the labels are ready to be put on) to make any changes.

So that information I posted in the other thread yesterday was correct....thankfully. Would hate to have posted information that was incorrect.

Yep...I called first thing this morning to see if I could make any changes. Glenda said it's only if you specifically ask for it. She didn't give me a time line of how long it would be offered.

I buy 1500 Custom ASM's at the old 312 because that's all they offer. Then, I miss the big group buy but get in on buying some the new edge spot combos they open up after the group buy. So I supplement my collection with about 700 more custom chips, many of which replace my 312's. Now they open up new spots! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Why can't there be a designated home mold that has never and will never be offered up to casino's. Some new design that's classy yet simple and is specifically made just for folks like us. Open up all the color choices and all the spot choices and have no worries of copying a combo a casino is or has used! Additionally add the giant and grand inlays to stay abreast with other company's like BCC.

I can guarantee chip junkies would flock in droves to get chips. I for one can guarantee I would and I already have about 2200 customs. I'd probably re-do my whole set and I can guarantee there are many other who would too. And those that are not sure what company to go with would probably have a much easier time making up their mind if ASM had such options.

Imagine, a chip manufacturing company with no artwork fee, only the 50 dollar color set up fee (As currently offered by ASM), all color options (like a pure white) and all spot options (Not currently offered). Maybe the giant and grand inlays too, BCC does it!! All done on a new "non-casino" mold which gives ASM the ability to offer such options and not worry about their casino customers yet make money hand over fist from chip junkies like us. And everyone is happy.

I know I repeated myself again but I was daydreaming.

Somehow I think that you already purchased those chips, aka the 1/2 inch edgespot line from ASM. So in effect, ASM has been doing just what you ask. Just a bit different though than what you would have preferred. But therein lies the problem, we all have different views on what a chip should look like and each one of us ordered our own custom versions, so it's nearly impossible for them to standardize for us junkies.

I begged Glenda to let me use 6a14 in my add-on order last month and was told that the only way to get new chips in 6a14 was to buy some 6a14 overruns that they had left over from other orders. Then, I would be eligible for 6a14 on my next (or 3rd) order. I declined because I didn't want to order chips that I'd never use just to get access to a specific edgespot pattern. Instead, I added on more 3d14 chips. Now, they decide to offer the pattern I wanted upon request?

My credit card was charged 5 days ago, so I assume it's too late now for me to amend my order. Plus, I gave Glenda my word that I wouldn't make any more changes to the order (had changed it 2x previously) so I'm just gonna live with the 3d14's that I have coming. I'm happy for you guys, but I wish she would have told me that there was a possiblity of offering other patterns again so soon.

It actually came quite by accident for me. I'm planning a six-chip set. Three standard edge-spots, and three unavailable edge spots.

I put in my order for the three standard edge spots and said something to Cathy like, can you mock these up...I want to use 6A14 on these if/when they become available again... I was figuring I'd order them sometime in the next 2 years... Cathy says I can have the edge spots, and Glenda confirms. Woot!

I pushed my luck and asked for a 312 with three different color edge spots... I got canned on the request. Never hurts to try.
