I've been salivating and thinking about an awesome new tournament set of custom BCC Flame or T-Mold hotstamps, and this thought (amazingly) JUST crossed my mind..
If I create a hotstamp that I want common on all chips, but want different denominations for every color, I probably have to pay another fee for a new stamp right? This would eliminate all possibility of me getting a set like this, as my order won't be big enough to warrant spending $150 4-5 times for each denom.
So, has anyone thought about this, or encountered this problem? Has anyone made custom hotstamps with different denoms? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
If you want the stamp to contain a different denom then yes you would have to buy multiple dies.
There was a BCC deal awhile ago and many of us had one custom die made and put it on one side of all chips. We then had different denoms put on the other side using stock dies (no fee if you use them).
My original plan was just getting something like "Tournament Chip" in an arc on the top of the inlay, "No Cash Value" in an arc on the bottom of the inlay, then a denom in the middle. I can't imagine getting another set of chips without a denom on them.
Here are links to original threads from the hot stamp buy from last year. There are pics scattered around. There were more pics of some available stamps but I can't find them. Maybe some of the links in the threads will help.
If you contact BCC they will send you pics of whats available.
Ranman's turned out quite nice. I have played with them a couple of times now!
