I have 650, in 4 different color/edgespot combos. On one of the combos (man red 614 DG pink) I have about 5-6 chips, where there was an air pocket in the center of the inlay. I only know this because I had heard of this issue, so I have meticulously checked every chip I have. The only reason I know these have an air pocket is you can hear/feel the inlay depress slightly if you do this. Sometimes you have to do it 3-4 times to be sure. I have these segregated and don't use them. ASM had orginally sent me 30 extra of these chips anyway, so I figured I was ahead in the game. I have been using all the other chips for a few months now and have not had one problem with a label coming off.
I would say that in my experience with ASM from a customer service standpoint, if you purchased chips from ASM and had this problem, that they would replace the chips - no questions asked. I also don't think that it is a widespread problem.
I think each manufacturer has certain "issues". With ASM, this seems to be the one - Blue chip was/is "out of round" inlays, now Paulson has a warping issue. I can rememeber when the Pharoahs first came out and we discovered that certain colors stacks are higher than others. I just don't think that the net-net of these "issues" means that one companies chips suck and another are good. To each his own. I, obviously, like ASM. Jojo, obviously, doesn't. But I really think we have to work on quantifying the problem before throwing somebody under the bus.
You should call ASM regards your 20 chips, my guess is they will make it right.
