ASM or BCC?

IT's really way too early to pick a favorite. For BCC, it would be tuff for them to match ASMs customer service as it is for ASM to match BCCs inlay and edgespot options. We really need a month after the big batch from the BCC special offer to arrive before picking a favorite.

I've talked to Mike a few times now & I believe that the lighter chips weigh about 8-8.5. The heavier are something like 9-9.5 if I'm remembering correctly. I own a set of the Fan of Cards from BCC & I really like them!

I'm leaning towards a set of BCC's over ASM's because of the price....$.80/chip, which in turn means a bigger set for me & the fact that they have alot more edgespot colors & styles to choose from (at least 23). So it really comes down to what you prefer in the long run.

Thanks chip! Are the fan of cards the light weight BCC's. Also, do you happen to know who is in more casino's, BCC or ASM?

BCC all the way. Now if ASM would hotstamp the Roman or FDL, I might change my mind. The flame mold isn't much to look at either, but I prefer it to the ASMs. Maybe if my name was Andi, I would like the A-mold more.

What does the FDL mold look like?

I was looking at the interlocking T (or L, I'm not real sure) from Hold-Em PC which is BCC and I am starting to like those more. At first, I liked the flame mold better because of the look of having a bigger inlay area, but the interlocking mold is starting to grow on me.

I think there might be a limited number of them though. I thought I remember reading that they were going to be discontinued? Don't quote me on that though...anyone else heard anything about other molds available through BCC?

Sorry, the FDL stands for fleur de lis. It has a larger inlay area. As for the t-mold chips from holdempokerchips, they are discontinuing colors that aren't selling well and adding new colors to replace them. llinky You can get the discontinued colors for a steal. I like the t-mold too and have thought about getting them hotstamped.

I'm not really sure what the weight is on the FOC's that I have. I'd guess in the light range (8-8.5). From what I hear those are popular to. You might be able to get a few for samples at 5stardeal.com-they're on clearance there. Lots of other places sell them but they aren't cheap. As for the casinos????? Wish I knew that one myself! I'm sure it's kinda evened out.

No. You can only get denominations or initials hotstamped through ASM.

I think smitty and I are thinking pretty alike in what we're looking for in solid hotstamps. We both watch the USPC too much

After getting in some samples of ASM chips, as well as BCC regular and heavier mold chips, I like the heavier feel of the BCC chips better. I'm not a huge fan of the flame mold, but the bigger inlay gives some more space for a custom die.

The USPC chips are Paulson H&C, so the T-mold would be a little more authentic in how they will look, since the inlay is smaller. From what I understand (and, I could be wrong) the T-mold chips must be shaved before hotstamping, and this makes them more expensive (25¢ per chip IIRC, and you have to supply your own chips, and pay for the custom stamp)

I'm leaning toward BCC myself, there's just more colors, the custom factor, and I like the big inlay and heavier weight. I think I could live with the flame mold when those other four things are going my way.
