Re: Is there any interest in using these molds for customs?
I think this is a great idea. I am contemplating an order with BCC, but am hesitating over the mold. This would solve that problem. Maybe Dave at BCC would give you a break on the price or would chip in if you let him use if for other home orders.
I have no idea what the cost would be to do a mold do you? What do you think you would charge (just and order of magnitude) for some one to "rent" the mold to use on a BCC order?

That's part of what I'm trying to determine. The cost of the mold is about $7500. I'm trying to work out the logistics.

Thanks. I need to work on them a little and do some cleaning up.

It would be cool if you could do the rope raised within a recess so that it was still flush with the face of the chip.
The center is designed to be recessed. The top of the ribs of the rope would be flush with the face of the chip and the rope gradually becoming more recessed to the edges.

Sounds cool. how deep will the recess be? Are you worried that the combination of the recesses on both sides will make the chip too thin where it's recessed? I'd hate to see the outer ring break off if these are dropped from a stack of 40. That would suck.
