Re: Is there any interest in using these molds for customs?

They're all really intriguing Kari. Nice job. I like the last rope mold the best though and think it would be the most universal.

Re: Is there any interest in using these molds for customs?

Thanks. Jamby. The last rope mold is my favorite. However, I also think the Roman mold is one of the best ever.

I like the Martini 6 or 8 molds.

Are you gonna update your avatar with the chosen design once they are made?

Re: Is there any interest in using these molds for customs?

I think this is a great idea. I am contemplating an order with BCC, but am hesitating over the mold. This would solve that problem. Maybe Dave at BCC would give you a break on the price or would chip in if you let him use if for other home orders.

I have no idea what the cost would be to do a mold do you? What do you think you would charge (just and order of magnitude) for some one to "rent" the mold to use on a BCC order?

I like the Martini Mold. Agree with what was said earlier in that it represents class. Very nice work on creating those images.

That's part of what I'm trying to determine. The cost of the mold is about $7500. I'm trying to work out the logistics.

Re: Is there any interest in using these molds for customs?

Kari, Can you describe this mold? Would the ribs be a deeper recess than the body of the rope?

It would be cool if you could do the rope raised within a recess so that it was still flush with the face of the chip.

The center is designed to be recessed. The top of the ribs of the rope would be flush with the face of the chip and the rope gradually becoming more recessed to the edges.

Re: Is there any interest in using these molds for customs?

Sounds cool. how deep will the recess be? Are you worried that the combination of the recesses on both sides will make the chip too thin where it's recessed? I'd hate to see the outer ring break off if these are dropped from a stack of 40. That would suck.
