The reason I ask is that I've noticed that some of the more beloved fantasy sets on the home market don't exactly correspond with what some people believe to be "good" edge spot progression. And yet that doesn't seem to get in the way of people's liking these chips?
I'd like to hear from people for whom this is a MAJOR consideration when developing their own custom set as well as from people for whom this is NOT a major consideration.
Not at all important to me...but when I designed my chips, I did attempt some modicum of progression with both colors and edge spots without being restricted by either.

Not important to me. It's all about how the set works. I usually have the simplest patterns on the highest value cheques because I tend to not use them very much.
Very important to me. I'll give up first choice of body color to get a good insert progression. Note I've never done custom clays but I bought my Bluz at the Bend set primarily because of the edgespot progression.
