Im very new to the world of nice poker chips. Ive always used the cheapies you purchase at wal mart and such. But now i am having a custom table built that is very nice and i would like to get some custom printed chips to go along with it.
Can someone point me in the right direction on where to purchase my chips? Im lookin at spending around .40 cents a chip and lookin at purchasing about 1000 chips in 5 different colors. I'll supply my own artwork also.

thanks in advance for any help.

for .40 you're looking at chips like nexgens with custom labels. There are a few vendors under the marketplace that have spectacular service and make great products. For a little bit more you could do PalmImports labeled compression chips (about .50 each), and there are lots of vendors that can do ceramics starting at about .60 each.
Whichever ones you consider, pay a few bucks and get samples.
yea i guess id go .50 to .60 cents each for 1000 chips if they were really nice chips. whats the difference in a compression chips and ceramic chips? Im really this new at it all. I have no idea what the difference is? Like weight, colors available, etc?
i read it all and decided i want to go with ceramics due to the artwork that will be on them. anyone point me to a few companies i can check out their pricing for custom printed chips for around 50 cents each?
Under marketplace there is PalmImports, ABC Gifts and Awards, NevadaJacks and HoldemPokerChips that are the ones that pop to mind for doing custom ceramics and sponsoring this board.
In addition to that great article, do an advanced search for ceramics in the thread title. I haven't been here long, but there seems to be more threads started recently about ceramic chips. More than you'll ever want to know can be found on this site, but an informed consumer becomes a happy owner. Good luck and my god have mercy on your wallet, Robbie. This won't be your last purchase.
