Chips: 149 | | | Re: WARNING Blue Chip Company Custom Hotstamp Problems Thanks, kmalsom. They didn't even replace any of the extra bad 60% of those colors in the first batch of replacements, though. They just sent them all back. Maybe I was to blame for not being clear in that first case (although I think I was clear, both via email and on the phone... "usable" != good), but that was back in November... We've come a long way since then and they keep shipping me back bad chips.
I forgot to mention in the OP that the difference between the good foil and the bad is clearly obvious in the color of the foil as well. The bad stamps were very "yellow gold" color while the replacement chips have all been of a more subtle "white gold" almost. It was easy for me to pick out the chips that were bad in each replacement batch because they looked completely different. |

Maybe these chips are the reason why.
Does anyone know weather hotstamping changes the color of the foil at all? |

Chips: 106 | | | Re: WARNING Blue Chip Company Custom Hotstamp Problems Well they have been doing this a lot longer than the Endy family. 1912 I belive, the Endy's jumped into this game in the early 60's !!!! THey may have created Paulson but that by no means means they are the best !
Sorry to hear you are having this problem, I belive once you have an opion from ASM. I short letter from your attorney may clear this problem up rather quickly. Quote: |

I'm not a casino and I shouldn't have to eat the die fee. | Well, I guess we just disagree on that point. BCC tried a marginal design the customer specified and has stated they don't want to print it anymore. C'est la vie.
Have they made your original order right?
How much are you out for shipping?

How much are you out for shipping? | I have a hard time believing that if this were your order you'd be willing to accept that the design they approved and produced is somehow no longer okay... especially after I clearly stated that I'd be happy to change the design if the problem wasn't with the foil. They took the initiative to redo the order with the existing design. Not me.
They haven't made the original order right as of yet. We'll see what happens with the remaining 116.
I'm out about $30 additionally on shipping. No big deal, but it definitely changes the bottom line.

Chips: 1,861 | | | Re: WARNING Blue Chip Company Custom Hotstamp Problems Well, I hope you get your full order. Perhaps in 6 months the "no more" may be rescinded. I'd have to agree it's the foil in the orig. order though.

Chips: 1,503 | | | Re: WARNING Blue Chip Company Custom Hotstamp Problems To further help prove that it was in fact some sort of issue with that run of chips, I just checked out my Club 6's and they are fine. I was actually trying pretty hard to scrape off one of the hotstamps with my fingernail, and it didn't budge.
With my order, the only problem I had was that a bunch of my grey chips had cracks in them. I actually didn't notice it. As some of you know, I gave half of my order away as a Christmas present. I showed them how to oil the chips, and a few weeks later I was there for a game and he asked me how many of my greys were cracked. I asked what he was talking about and he showed me his chips. Some of them were cracked really bad, like a spiderweb. I went home and looked at my chips and found that a bunch of mine were cracked also. Just the greys though. I emailed BCC about it, and they replaced the cracked ones a bit later (week or two). It did sound like I wasn't the first one with problems though, as they said something like "yeah, it seems like a problem with the grey only".
But they did take care of me, and didn't ask for pics or anything.(even after I offered to email them some) They just asked me how many were defective, and they sent the replacements. Hopefully you get squared away soon. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
